gentleman

The gentleman has officially died….

Posted on

I am truly convinced, after today, that my husband is the only good guy left walking the earth.  I may be exaggerating a bit, but I know one thing for sure and two things for certain, they just don’t make them like they use to.  Men!

Furthermore – gentlemen…..

Why would I say such a thing you ask?

Well let me tell you.  My morning commute normally consists of me driving to the bus stop, parking my car and catching the bus into downtown – thus avoiding the cost to park.  Most would think this a great idea, seeing as how my job foots the bill to catch the bus; I would think so too if it didn’t come with so much frustration.

There’s no excuse for my absence, but just thought I’d mention….

I figured what better day, than Mother’s Day to share our news with everyone. So while I have been unintentionally neglecting the blog, I am now trying to get refocused on my focus. Plan to see more of me (literally and figuratively).

Not making any excuses for my time away and my absence in the blogosphere, but I thought I might mention

a

that is

Here’s to hoping that my second trimester will yield more energy and spunk than the first. That the days of fatigue, bloat and just overall loafing around the house are over and the days of sunshine, sundresses, sandals and a growing belly are ahead!

Cheers!

Happy Mother’s Day Momma’s, may you enjoy your day!

Be Blessed!

A Love Affair to Play off

Posted on

A long time ago, when my husband and I were more financially challenged younger, we would have date nights at the house; and by house I mean one bedroom apartment totaling about 525 square feet..  Neither of us were really the going out types and lets be honest even if we were, we were broke couldn’t.

So in our beginning stages, date night would consist of me cooking dinner, us watching the playoffs, and him helping me study for my nursing exams.  Side note:  I never became a nurse.

In those times my then boyfriend, was a stone cold, die hard Lakers’ fan and so all the games we watched had purple and gold in them.

We would eat, scream at the TV, and I would learn about nursing and what different plays were, why the refs were stopping the game, and who sucked and who was good.
