To be heterogeneous is to be unique, diverse and different. As we are all uniquely created, so is our hair. The amount of creativity is beyond measure and the variance is just pure genius. While natural hair seems to be the trend right now, I really believe it is a movement. A movement in the direction of self acceptance, self love and the appreciation and ownership of our own unique beauty.
That’s not to say that relaxed hair is not all of those things, but there is a certain kind of freedom and love – a real live love affair – that goes along with being a natural girl.
Lets’ link up and have a hair party. Post a picture of yourself with a favorite hairstyle and details about the style, products used, etc.
When I decided to have my hair styled this way, it really was just about being
cheap lazy and wanting something really simple that I didn’t have to do anything to. All I required was that it would last two weeks. How pleasantly surprised was I when it lasted a whole three weeks and still looked good. The only reason I took it down was because it itched to all holy heck!
I got so many compliments on this simple hair style that I went and got it redone.
I achieved this look by cowashing my hair and then detangling and moisturizing. I am still experimenting with products to find my staples but this time I
- co washed with AS I AM Coconut CoWash
- detangled using Perfect Results Moisturizing Detangling Leave In
- moisturized with Perfect Results Curl and Twist Definer
- sealed with Jojoba Oil
- braided my hair in plats and went to sleep
The next morning I went to my braid lady’s home and she braided my hair using premium kankelon braiding hair.
In all this style took a total of twenty minutes and TWENTY DOLLARS!
