Friday Letter’s: 3.8.13

Dear Post pregnancy body,

You are free to leave here now.  I know I haven’t put in as much work as I should to get my dear friend, pre pregnancy body to come back, but you are no longer welcome.  I’m sorry that I sent you the wrong message that you were welcome to stay while I was nursing, changing stinky diapers, dealing with sleep deprivation and still trying to my regular awesome self.

Things are getting ready to get back to a new state of normal around these parts and you are not welcome to be a part of that endeavor.

I do, however, want to thank you for not being as bad as you could have been.  I mean with all the snacking and cravings I had while carrying the little bambino, you sure could have done me way worse.  I appreciate you for that.  Read more...

Red means GO!!

The warm weather is fast approaching and just as fast as it is coming – my hair is growing.  As usual I am about ready for a change.

I have toyed around with the idea of color for a little while and while I don’t want to admit it, I am scared!

Any of you who have followed me at all know that I am no stranger to changing things ups, but you also know that this is my fourth – Yes FOURTH time going natural.  Unlike all the other times, I have succeeded in passing the finish line once, completing my first lap, in a race that never ends.

I was watching this video from one of my favorite YouTube channels – MyNaturalSistas, Toni, and she has went red again!

SWS: Change is good

So I’m linking  up with Cate for SWS – Six Word Saturday.  Here’s my Saturday in six words:.

Change is good, so here goes!

 

The last time that I blogged was October 27th of last year.  Oddly enough it to was for a SWS link up; almost exactly a month before my little bundle made his debut.  I am now starting to regain some sense of normalcy in my life and have gotten back in front of the computer; inspired and ready to clean house a little bit.  I have been making changes to the blog, starting with the largest being the blog title.  MyInnerB is very reflective of me and what I write, hence the name change.  There will be more changes to come, albeit gradually, but they are definitely coming, and I am excited!  Read more...

Who gets pulled over on Sunday morning, on their way to church – not once but twice??

Sunday morning, headed to church, feeling pretty good; had stopped and got breakfast, for me and my honey and was in full force to get my praise on – had even started in the car as I listed to Praise radio on my XM Satellite station.

Rolling along, eating my breakfast, just came off the freeway and I see the Po-LEASE (police); quick glance to my speedometer (read 42) and then up at the sign  (said SPEED LIMIT 35) and I thought “oh crap”, shot up a prayer to the almighty (apparently not fast enough), and what happens, but those darn cops (in an unmarked car) pull out behind me.

My first thought – Can I really be getting pulled over in the same spot, going to the same place, in less than 2 months????

My second thought – My husband is going to KILL me; I better tell him in church.  Read more...
