Weekend Recap: Chunky Spunky week worth of dinner….

Hey honies and Happy Monday!  How was your weekends?

Mine was pretty uneventful but cool…

Let’s recap, shall we?

So Friday was exciting for a couple reasons.  And by exciting I mean in the lame mommy homebody kind of way, but none the less exciting to me.  I left for a little bit and went and got my seasonal hair trim.  Get ready cause this is the first fun part….I had it blow dried for the second time since I went natural (November 2011).  This stuff is getting LONG!!!!

And as if that wasn’t enough excitement for one night, I came home at 9:45ish and wouldn’t you know hubby had the boy sleeping and he was sleep for the night and not one of those little cat naps he usually does when he falls asleep before 1030.  But by “for the night” I just mean he went into sleep mode cause he still woke up for his feedings but just the fact that he went to sleep at a decent hour was a WIN!

Weekend Recap: The in home edition

This weekend was rather uneventful; literally – there were NO EVENTS for me. LOL. I spent the entire weekend in the house.

Saturday, baby girl was gone with her other half and hubby had a boys day trip planned with him, the nephew and some friends, RJ woke up kind of fussy and I looked out the window and saw snow and I opted to stay in.

While I thought I might get a few things done around the house, RJ had other plans – I hung out with him ALL DAY LONG! Literally, the boy took two twenty minute naps the entire day!

Dear Scandal
When are you coming back?? I, like all the other scandal-a-holics, are going into withdrawal with this little hiatus you have taken.

Dear sleep,
I miss you. I can’t begin to tell you how much I look forward to us being back on a regular visitation schedule. I am currently negotiating with my little guy as much as I can to allow us to be together; I am just trying to convince him that your presence doesn’t mean that I forget about him. I am confident he almost understands and will welcome you into both of our lives in the near future.

I will be just like this!!!

Dear home,
When we moved here six months ago, I was excited about all the space and the ability to better organize and keep clean and uncluttered. Since moving in I have discovered that it is hard to keep you clean, probably because I never got you all the way together in the beginning and there are so many projects I hope to complete. Just know I (we) still plan to get you together….as RJ permits, lol.

Weekend Recap: Rubbed down Babies and accesories

This weekend was bittersweet.  It was the first weekend this year that was non-artic and my last weekend before I head back into the office off maternity leave.  I am really fretting going back in.  I have not been in the office for like seven months; yes SEVEN!  I worked from home my entire last trimester and I have been home with my munchkin for the first four months of his life.  It all seems as if it has flown by.

Friday was pretty mellow for me.  Got the dog groomed and ran some errands, nothing too exciting.  I am, however, really glad that I got the dog groomed.  I hadn’t done this since RJ arrived and she was really in need of some TLC.  She was smelly, with long hair and a faux haircut that I called myself doing myself….No amount of doggy shampoo and water helped to get her back to her good ol groomed smell, and HER BREATH…ugh!  Glad we got that together.

Welp, its almost time for me to take my buns back to work – in exactly one week to be exact.

I promise four months didn’t go by this fast when I was pregnant and waiting on him to get here.

Oh how time flies....

As the countdown has begun, the last couple weeks have been fairly emotional for me.  I really love being at home with both of my children.  The ability to see my daughter off to and from school and being the main person in my sons life in these formative times really brings me joy.
