My Favorite Things: My LG

Posted on

I haven’t done a favorite things post in quite some time.  Probably because I haven’t really had time to think about the things I really like or that make my life easier, better, simpler or adds some kind of value.

But lately I have been wearing so many hats and doing 100 multiple things at once.  It made me realize, I don’t know what I would do with out my Bluetooth.  Its not just any old Bluetooth, its actually one of the cool ones; as opposed to one that fits in my ear and makes me look like I work for the CIA.

The model I have actually serves a dual purpose – like me!  I  can take my calls on it but it also serves as a wireless headset for my music on my phone and iPad or iPod.  And it actually connects to two of them at the same time.

Six Word Saturday

I haven’t linked up with Cate in a while, but today I am stopping by her place to participate in Six Word Saturday.

A Pampered Prego complains much less

(At least that day, anyway)

Today I am treating myself to a massage and facial for some relaxation.  I have been so achy and uncomfortable lately I’m sure hubs can’t wait just as much as me for the little guy to arrive.  ONE MONTH TO GO!!!
Want to link up? Here’s how Cate says to do it:
All that’s necessary to participate is to describe your life (or something) in a phrase using just six words. For more information, try clicking here. Feel free to explain or not explain. Add an image, a video, a song, nothing.
Happy Saturday folks,

My Favorite Things: Pregnancy Cravings

Posted on

So today I was sitting here thinking about all the different things that I have been craving in these five months that I been baking up this little turkey (a.k.a. my baby boy) and the cravings can be very impulsive and intense and the list would have us here through the weekend – my husband can vouch.  So here are my top few favs in the past few months.

Salad – I randomly get cravings for salad, which is good, cause I crave sweets a lot too, so this offsets the guilt.

Grilled cheese – these have been a pregnancy favorite and so simple to make.  I toy with the thought of venturing out to make one of those fancy pants grilled cheeses you hear different magazines and so on talk about, but I chicken out every time and just default to what I already know; two slices of bread some butter and some cheese – now that is a grilled cheese!

My Favorite Things: Chick-Fil-A

It has been a while since I have done one of these, and so I thought I’d treat you guys to yet another little tidbit about me; because I don’t do it often not that you care, I guess.

Now I am not one for fast food, and very rarely will you see me with anything in the likes of the Golden Arches (except those darn fries, who could not have those?) or the King’s crown, but this does not even belong in the same lane.  Really, I mean real chicken, fries cooked in canola oil and healthy options such as carrot salad – it just does not even compare.

More times than not, I don’t cook on a Friday and possibly even a Saturday depending on how I feel.  When the question is posed for what my preference is, all I can do is smile.  And my hubby knows that, that smile equals my most favorite of favorites – Chick-Fil-A.

My Favorite Things: Oh My Mango

The warm air is trying to force its way back in and boy am I excited as I have mentioned it here and here and possibly even here

While the thought of the open sunroof, flowers, fresh sweet fruit, sundresses, sandals, walks in the park, sitting on the porch, bbq’ing, sunglasses, suntans, kids riding their bikes, water parks,  and cookouts, all have me excited, there is something else that I can’t help but to think do a happy dance about – Mango’s!

Yup! Mango’s.

It’s something about spring and summer that makes me literally go mad for mangos; I mean mango everything!  Mango recipes, drinks, smells – if they make it mango, I want it!

I’ll give you a minute to wipe the drool away…..
