Why you might need to put money on my books…

Recently I posted about the things I didn’t think of when I had a baby girl.  There was one thing I forgot to put on that list:

That I might need bail money!!!

I don’t know what is going on lately, but this little girl turnt tween is “on one” (as my hubby would say).  She has become this argumentative, huffing and puffing, then turn to crying person I feel like I have never met.

Earlier this week, we had a bout in the morning where I got frustrated because I have only been telling her the same things over and over every. single. day. for forever…they are pretty basic:

  • Go brush your teeth and get yourself cleaned up before you come talking – even if it’s to say “good morning”
  • On school days, get yourself cleaned up and dressed, straighten your space (your room, that only you mess up) gather your things and then head down to have breakfast.

Oh my, Oh my….let me tell you about the day I had.

Well it kind of started from the other day and then burst into yesterday.

Now I am going to warn you that this post is embarrassing, to me, and you will feel embarrassed for me as you read this. But what I am learning in life is that you have to be able to a) laugh at yourself and b) share so that others can maybe laugh at learn from your experiences; so that is what I am going to do.

So Monday I noticed this bump, a hair bump, which might I add are annoying enough alone. But then add a compromising spot and you have a compromised annoyance.

Where was this bump you ask?

Oh what a day!…Back to work: Lessons Learned Edition

Well as I have been blabbing about over the last week, today was my first day back to the place that makes deposits every two weeks in my account. I guess in my mind I knew today would not come without some sort of crazy ridiculous foolishness, and it didn’t disappoint.

Bag lady
So I go to leave for work and hubs, being the gentleman he is, went to load and start my car for me….*insert pause* his words, “B I don’t know how you are gonna carry all this stuff…”
I mean I only had my computer bag which also had my lunch bag, my pump bag (gotta feed the kid) and my umbrella that is almost tall as me, oh and my purse. LOL.

Lesson learned:  I have to find a way to consolidate and I need to take that extra breast pump to work and leave it there.  I was feeling like maybe I didn’t need it, but I was WRONG!

gentleman

The gentleman has officially died….

I am truly convinced, after today, that my husband is the only good guy left walking the earth.  I may be exaggerating a bit, but I know one thing for sure and two things for certain, they just don’t make them like they use to.  Men!

Furthermore – gentlemen…..

Why would I say such a thing you ask?

Well let me tell you.  My morning commute normally consists of me driving to the bus stop, parking my car and catching the bus into downtown – thus avoiding the cost to park.  Most would think this a great idea, seeing as how my job foots the bill to catch the bus; I would think so too if it didn’t come with so much frustration.
