Where you can find me and why you should follow me there…

So a couple weeks ago Google announced that it would be doing away with its Google Reader service, and many users were outraged.  I personally used reader, but I guess I just didn’t realize that it was such a big deal.

Silly me….being a blogger myself I didn’t realize that those of you that do follow me via reader would no longer be able to do so.  It got me to thinking about what I wanted to do next.

I read up a little bit and even saw some of the things that other bloggers were talking about and I have relocated (yes even before Google locks me out).  For my own personal use I have take to Bloglovin.  It seems to be easy enough, there’s an app for my phone and it looks pretty neat and well organized which is really all I need.

Dear Scandal
When are you coming back?? I, like all the other scandal-a-holics, are going into withdrawal with this little hiatus you have taken.

Dear sleep,
I miss you. I can’t begin to tell you how much I look forward to us being back on a regular visitation schedule. I am currently negotiating with my little guy as much as I can to allow us to be together; I am just trying to convince him that your presence doesn’t mean that I forget about him. I am confident he almost understands and will welcome you into both of our lives in the near future.

I will be just like this!!!

Dear home,
When we moved here six months ago, I was excited about all the space and the ability to better organize and keep clean and uncluttered. Since moving in I have discovered that it is hard to keep you clean, probably because I never got you all the way together in the beginning and there are so many projects I hope to complete. Just know I (we) still plan to get you together….as RJ permits, lol.

Friendship Formation

So this morning my daughter’s friend came by early before getting on the bus because they wanted me to fix their scarves for them as they were dressing alike for twin day.  I chuckled to myself as I saw these too and it took me down a quick trip of memory lane.  My daughter who is at least 5’6” right now, hovered over her “bestie” who is probably not even knocking at 5’0” and they are the same age.

But I also thought of myself at this age.  My friendships.  How long some of them lasted and are still going, weathering the storms and changes life brings and the others that are non-existent these days.  Then there are the ones that are just lingering and hanging in the wind and I don’t know what they would be classified as – friends or some other word meaning people I know and care about but don’t talk to for one reason or another.

Oh what a day!…Back to work: Lessons Learned Edition

Posted on

Well as I have been blabbing about over the last week, today was my first day back to the place that makes deposits every two weeks in my account. I guess in my mind I knew today would not come without some sort of crazy ridiculous foolishness, and it didn’t disappoint.

Bag lady
So I go to leave for work and hubs, being the gentleman he is, went to load and start my car for me….*insert pause* his words, “B I don’t know how you are gonna carry all this stuff…”
I mean I only had my computer bag which also had my lunch bag, my pump bag (gotta feed the kid) and my umbrella that is almost tall as me, oh and my purse. LOL.

Lesson learned:  I have to find a way to consolidate and I need to take that extra breast pump to work and leave it there.  I was feeling like maybe I didn’t need it, but I was WRONG!
